We want every client to feel confident working with us. Here's a clear, honest breakdown of how refunds and cancellations work.

1. Overview

Web Design Kashmir delivers custom design and development services — each project involves time, research, and creative work dedicated specifically to your business. Because our services are highly tailored, refunds are handled carefully and case-by-case.

This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available, when they are not, and how to request one. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.

2. Deposits & Advance Payments

All deposits and advance payments are non-refundable. Deposits reserve our team's time, cover discovery work, and let us begin planning and onboarding as soon as you say yes. If a project is cancelled before it starts, the deposit is retained to cover this work.

3. Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a partial refund in the following situations:

  • We are unable to deliver the core services described in the proposal due to reasons on our end.
  • A duplicate payment or accidental overcharge has occurred.
  • A written mutual agreement is reached to end the engagement, with an agreed settlement amount.

The refund, if approved, will be calculated based on the stage of work completed, minus the non-refundable deposit and any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (domain, hosting, plugins, stock assets, paid fonts, etc.).

4. Non-Refundable Services

The following are not eligible for refund under any circumstances:

  • Completed and delivered design or development work.
  • Deposits and onboarding fees.
  • Third-party costs paid on your behalf (domains, hosting, premium plugins, stock imagery, paid fonts, subscriptions).
  • Hours already billed against retainer or consulting agreements.
  • Rush-delivery or weekend-work surcharges, once work has started.
  • Projects paused or abandoned by the client for more than 60 days without communication.

5. Cancellations by the Client

You can cancel a project at any time by sending us written notice (email is fine). If you choose to cancel:

  • The deposit remains non-refundable.
  • You will be invoiced for all work completed up to the date of cancellation.
  • Any balance paid above that amount may be refunded at our discretion.
  • We will share any deliverables completed and paid for at the point of cancellation.

6. Cancellations by Us

In rare cases we may have to end an engagement — for example, if the scope has changed significantly, communication has broken down, or the project is no longer a good fit. In such cases we will refund any fees paid for work that has not yet been started. Work already completed remains payable.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email us at [email protected] with the following details:

  • Your full name and company (if applicable).
  • Project name or invoice number.
  • Date and amount of the payment in question.
  • A clear explanation of your refund request.

We will review every request carefully and respond within 5 business days with our decision and next steps.

8. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are typically processed within 7–14 business days using the original method of payment. The actual time for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

9. Chargebacks & Disputes

Please talk to us first before filing a chargeback or dispute. Most issues can be resolved quickly by email. Initiating a chargeback without first giving us a chance to fix things may result in suspension of services, legal action to recover owed amounts, and any associated bank fees being billed to you.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on this page with an updated date at the top. Changes apply to engagements entered into after the updated date; active engagements are governed by the policy in effect when the contract was signed.
